Star struck in New York

Are you a film buff ? Want to see where all your favouite films were made? Then, to celebrate the 40th anniversary, the MOFTB, (Mayor’s Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting.) have come up with natty little site, to take you around New York, an interactive map showing film locations in the Big Apple. It allows users to filter by television, film, filmmaker, scene type, time period and neighborhood. This map is a smart way of planning a day in NYC. How many films were made in New York? More than you can imagine. Check it out!

    When back at home, want to read the book which inspired this curious site “Scenes from the City: Filmmaking in New York” by James Sanders, Nora Ephron and Martin Scorsese, (who better to guide you, director of “Made in NY” film “The Departed” winner of 4 Academy awards).

    :em03: Still on the theme of films, moving from the big scene to the small screen why not go on a tour of “Sex and the City” the TV series which epitomised life in New York a three hour bus trip, stopping at all the hang outs of the famous four New Yorkers. :em17:
